Live bidders in our gallery will be charged a 10% buyers premium. Internet bidders will be subject to 15% buyer's premium and any shipping & handling charges. Items will be shipped by UPS Ground unless otherwise requested by purchaser. Auction gallery will have the option to use a third party shipper at their discretion, especially for larger pieces. We charge a 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax to everyone except those who have a valid Pennsylvania or New Jersey Sales Tax Exemption number, and those bidders must fill out a Pennsylvania Sales Tax Exemption Form and provide us with a copy of their Tax Exemption Certificate. Items shipped out of state are not subject to Pennsylvania Sales Tax.
<b>SHIPPING:</b> Stephenson’s Auction provides limited in-house shipping, and can assist bidders in arranging for the shipment of their items. Flat rate shipping & handling boxes are $12.50 Priority Mail and are available in two convenient sizes, 11" x 8.5" x 5.5" and 13.625" x 11.875" x 3.375." Stephenson’s Auction will pack and ship items which can safely fit within these parameters. This service is available to all US addresses only. Shipping WILL NOT be offered on larger items, including but not limited to furniture and artwork. The buyer will have to arrange to have their purchases picked up and packed by a shipper of their choice. Items outside of our shipping parameters will need to be taken by a professional shipper, packer, freighter or mover. Please note that International and oversize items can be quite expensive to ship. We HIGHLY recommend that buyers inquire about shipping costs before bidding. To assist the buyer, we can provide information on shipping companies. All bidders must email info@stephensonsauction.com to release the paid item and, liability of it, from Stephenson’s Auction and to the shipper. A simple statement such as “I (the buyer of said item) release it from Stephenson’s Auction and to (the shipper)” is necessary before the item can be shipped. Shippers must pack/wrap and load your items. The purchaser is responsible for payment to the shipper including but not limited to: labor, materials, postage, and insurance fees.
Once liability of item has been transferred to shipper, the buyer and the shipping company are responsible for handling claims of damage that may occur. Such damage is not grounds for a refund by Stephenson’s Auction. When applicable, any arrangements regarding the granting of licensing for export and/or import of items is the responsibility of the buyer.
All pick-ups or shipping arrangements should take place at time of payment, and completed within two weeks of the sale date (no later than Friday, October 20th, 2006). Pick-up times are Monday through Wednesday between 9AM and 5 PM or Saturdays between 9AM and 12 Noon. There is no charge for pickups. Any items not picked up or arrangements for shipping completed within the requested 15 day time frame will begin to have a storage fee of $5 per item, per day assessed and added on to the bill if not removed within 30 days from the auction date.
<b>BIDDING:</b> Internet bidding (both live and absentee,) Left bid and Phone bid services are available. These bids are executed by a designated Stephenson’s Auction employee and/or via eBay or iCollector with information provided to us via computer. This is a convenience to clients who are not present at auctions and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions in connection therewith and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions in connection therewith - especially when the eBay service is used, as our firm does not control the transmission speed used by or have previous knowledge of bid increments left by registered eBay users.
Payment is by Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, money order or certified check. All checks and money orders should be made payable to "Stephenson's Auction."
The auctioneer has sole and final discretion in any dispute. Stephenson’s Auction reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction before the sale for any reason.
