Immortalized as Sam, the piano player who sings "As Time Goes By" in Casablanca. Interestingly, Wilson didn’t know how to play the piano. In the film, the piano was empty and the music came from a pianist located behind the camera. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of Wilson sitting at a piano, signed in blue ink, “My compliments, Dooley Wilson, Casablanca Sam, Pompey Bloomer Girl.” In fine condition, with a light brush to the “M” in “Sam,” light contrast to a couple letters of character names, and a couple of light creases. A scarce autograph in any form, even more so with the addition of his famous character’s name.
