Winchester-Lee Navy Straight Pull Rifle
This rifle was a military firearm that Winchester made for the U.S. Navy in 1895. This version was in a musket configuration with a full semi-pistol grip stock, handguard and bayonet lug on the front barrel band. It is chambered in the 6mm Lee (.236 caliber) and features a hooded front sight and adjustable rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards. The top of the receiver is marked "-U.S.N.- / anchor / No 4073 / -N.C.T.-" and the left side is marked with the two line address/patent dates. There is a stacking swivel mounted on the front barrel band, sling swivel on the rear barrel band and a swivel base on the buttstock. The iron buttplate has a compartment with an original string and brush pull through bore cleaner.

Excellent. The rifle retains approximately 90% plus original finish with some scattered light spotting, a little heavier on the trigger guard. The stock is fine with exception of a few minor shallow gouges, scratches and dents. The stacking swivel is damaged. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent. These do not turn up in this fine of condition very often. One may be surprised how long it will take to find another like this!
